The Company
Clarence Byrd Inc. was formed in 1977 to publish accounting and tax books written by Clarence Byrd and Ida Chen (Byrd & Chen). When increasing sales volumes made operations too large to be handled by a small company, Pearson Canada and CPA Canada both began publishing the Byrd & Chen books.
Byrd & Chen
Clarence Byrd has been extensively involved in Canadian accounting education for over 35 years. He has held positions at a number of Canadian universities. Both Clarence Byrd and Ida Chen devote the majority of their working time to updating and improving the Byrd & Chen Canadian Tax Principles material.
